Spring Day bust nets drug haul

According to EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng, the duo sold the drugs to school learners.

Dagga valued at R1 800 was seized in Brakpan on Tuesday and two people were arrested.

Acting on a tip-off from concerned members of the community, members of the EMPD Equestrian Unit raided an apartment in a block of flats in the CBD.

The apartment’s tenants, a 35-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman, were arrested after officers uncovered 88 plastic and paper packages of dagga ready to be sold.

According to EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng, the duo sold the drugs to school learners.

The pair was taken to the Brakpan Police Station and charges of possession and possible dealing in illicit substances was levelled against them.
