Weekend crime round-up

A man was robbed at the corner of Station Road and Kitzinger Avenue.

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A laptop and other valuables were stolen from a car parked at Mall@Carnival.

* A home in Wordsworth Street, Dalpark, was burgled of a TV, a DVD player and speakers.

* Two gunmen made off with R10 000 and a cellphone after robbing a businessman at his company along Lemmer Road in Maryvlei.

The incident took place around 2.30pm and the robbers fled in a white Toyota Corolla.

A case of armed robbery is under investigation.

• Saturday – Tools were stolen during a break-in at a Voortrekker Road business.

* A man was robbed at the corner of Station Road and Kitzinger Avenue.

The victim was waiting for a friend when he was attacked and overpowered by two men at about 8pm.

They searched him and ran off with his bank cards, ID and over R4 000 in cash.

• Sunday – Two scooters were stolen from an address along Stoffberg Avenue.
