Women graduate against all odds
The institute's principal, Rupert Hermanus, is proud of the campus' 100 per cent pass rate and of the graduates.
The Brakpan Campus of the Edu-Build Institute recently held its inaugural ECD NQF Level 4 graduation ceremony.
Courses offered by the institute, which is situated along Queen Avenue, focus on the training of early childhood development practitioners.

The graduates comprised an all-women group of 13 vibrant, hardworking and dedicated individuals.
The age of the graduates range between 19 and 61 years old, with each one coming from different areas across the eastern region of the City of Ekurhuleni and having diverse experiences.
Although it was a very difficult year for the women during the pandemic, where they had to get used to different platforms of online learning, they passed with flying colours.
The institute’s principal, Rupert Hermanus, is proud of the campus’ 100 per cent pass rate and of the graduates.
He hopes to have more students who will enrol for these courses in 2021.
The graduates are Mpo Mochesane, Lebogang Tembane (Culture Vulture Award), Zanele Mashiya, Stephanie Appel, Lamé Hermanus (Student Choice Award), Octernia Slimmers (Valedictorian Award and Top Achiever Award), Florizelle Schalkwyk (Creative Award), Nondumiso Gama, Elizabeth Hlabane (Principal’s Award), Charlene Thomas (Top Achiever), Muriel Mahlangu (Dedication and Commitment Award), Kelly Britton and Natasha Jooste (Top Achiever).
