Assault cases on the rise in Plastic City

Brakpan police will embark on awareness campaigns in the Plastic City informal settlement to address crime.
According to Capt Pearl van Staad, spokesperson for the Brakpan SAPS, violence in the settlement is a cause for concern and assault cases are on the rise.
“All crimes are liquor-related,” said van Staad.
From last Thursday to Monday, four cases of assault were reported to local police.
