Dalpark neighbours mingle at market

It boasts an excellent security service provider and a dedicated management committee.

The Dalpark X1 Residents Association held a market on Saturday to get neighbours to know each other, as well as allowing residents to market their businesses.

The main purpose of the event, however, was to get residents staying in the enclosed suburb to understand the importance of security and for them to contribute towards safety measures.

Among the advantages of the enclosure are 24-hour armed patrols, proactive crime prevention, assistance with service delivery issues, an excellent communication system, CCTV coverage and a firefighting trailer.

An added benefit for animal owners is that lost pets are caught and kept in a special kennel.

If the owners do not collect within a few hours, the pet is taken to the SPCA.

Dalpark Extension One is a neighbourhood where women can jog safely on their own, children walk to the shops or cycle the streets and elderly residents go for daily walks.
