Mixed results for local netball clubs

The clubs continue to train as they prepare for the season ahead. Both Brakpan Netball Club and Netball Freakz played in a tournament in Boksburg on Saturday.

The two clubs came back with a mixed bag of results.

Brakpan’s women side had a tough day as they lost to Ekurhuleni Legends (17-3) and Zest (20-4).

The mixed side did a little bit better as they beat Pelicans 12-9 but lost 13-2 to Real Vultures.

Netball Freakz also struggled on the day, with their women’s side losing to both Chasers (36-2) and Mokgoba (19-6).

Their mixed side managed to beat Kathorus (13-12) but lost to Black Eagles (28-9).

The clubs continue to train as they prepare for the season ahead.

Brakpan’s practices are on Mondays and Wednesdays. There are training sessions for different groups such as new age groups (five to eight years age group),

juniors (age nine to 15), seniors (age 16 to 35) and golden oldies (36 and older).
