Weekend crime round-up
A woman was raped by the driver of an orange/red Datsun after accepting a lift from him.

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:
• Friday – Two cars were broken into in separate incidents.
A car radio and a bag containing personal documents was stolen from a vehicle parked along Kitzinger Avenue while cash and a box of cigarettes were stolen from a car parked at the corner of Prince George and Grey avenues.
* A laptop was stolen during a break-in at a residence along Suurklapper Avenue in Dalpark.
• Saturday – A white Ford Ranger bakkie was stolen from Main Reef Road.
The vehicle was later recovered in Vosloorus, Boksburg.
* A man was arrested following a robbery at a fast-food eatery along Goods Road.
The business was robbed at gunpoint by two men at 9.30pm when the men forced their way into the back of the shop and assaulted an employee and demanded cash.

Cash and bottles of liquor were taken.
A suspect was later arrested and taken to the Far East Rand Hospital for medical treatment.
Cases of business robbery and attempted murder are under investigation.
* A woman was raped by the driver of an orange/red Datsun after accepting a lift from him.
After a night out with a friend, the woman walked to Station Road at around 1.30am to find transport to Tsakani.
The driver of the Datsun agreed to take her and the woman climbed into his car.
The man started to strangle the woman and then raped her.
He also robbed her of her belongings which included a cellphone.
The victim was kicked out of the car along Dirk van der Hoff Street in Rand Collieries.
• Sunday – Two homes were burgled.
A laptop, an iPhone and a wristwatch were stolen during a break-in at a home along Boabab Street in Dalpark, while a TV and other household items were stolen from a residence in Gladstone Avenue.
