The City of Ekurhuleni held a meeting with Eskom on June 3 to reach an agreement on the exclusion of large power users and National Key Points from stage one and two load-shedding where the network configuration allows for it.
Switching configurations only allows for a small number of large power users to be excluded at this point.
The City will engage in further discussions with Eskom in future to allow for more industrial areas to be excluded on both stage one and two load-shedding.
The City’s load-shedding schedule up to stage eight has been revised to accommodate changes made as agreed with Eskom.
