Multi-party coalition solidified in Ekurhuleni with election of management team

Brakpan ward councillor Brandon Pretorius was elected as chairperson of the team.

The DA in Ekurhuleni welcomes the progress made by the multi-party coalition in formalising its commitment to providing services to residents, by electing a joint coalition management team.

Brakpan ward councillor Brandon Pretorius was elected as chairperson.

The election was held at the first multi-party coalition caucus on January 15 in Germiston, where councillors demonstrated their commitment to the historic local government coalition agreement entered into by the DA, ActionSA, FF Plus, IFP, ACDP and Cope.

Addressing the meeting, DA caucus leader Tania Campbell marked the meeting as one of the starting points in setting the tone for running a clean and stable administration in the metro.

The following positions were elected unopposed to the management team:
• Deputy chairperson: Clr Siyanda Makhubo (ActionSA)
• Secretary: Clr Denise Janse van Rensburg (FF Plus)
