Join an explosion of fun this Youth Day

The event is adapted from the Amazing Race TV show and the Brakpan youth are encouraged to enter.

The Brakpan Youth Explosion (BYE) and Brakpan SAPS Youth Crime Prevention Desk will be hosting an amazing race on June 16 to promote the good stewardship that accompanies a Christian youth culture.

BYE is a collective of youth groups united for the love of Brakpan youth through activities and programmes.

The purpose of the event is to encourage the community to work together. Young people between the ages of 13 and 21 are encouraged to enter.

Amazing Race is a popular adventure reality game show franchise created in the early 2000s. The TV show follows teams of two people racing around the world in competition with other teams.

The principle from the show has been adapted to create an event that will require teams of youth from various churches to work together to overcome roadblocks and obstacles as they race around Brakpan.

It will consist of vehicle and foot races along with five different activity stop challenges around the central area of Brakpan.

The starting point of the race is the Assembly of God Fellowship church on Germains Avenue.

The race will be held from 09:00 to 16:00. Food will be sold at the church.
