Church celebrates women parishioners

St John the Baptist Catholic Church celebrated the women of its parish last Wednesday in commemoration of Women’s Day.

The church’s fundraising committee invited parishioners to a morning of interactive fun and entertainment where they shared stories about the women in the parish.

A tea party, white elephant sale and cake auction were also held to raise funds for the church.

The event started with mass where women received a special blessing. The church hopes the event will become an annual one.
