Councillors band together for SPCA

Street collection raises thousands of rands for local society.

Motorists emptied their pockets for a ‘blikkie skud’ in aid of the Brakpan SPCA on Saturday.

Councillors from the City of Ekurhuleni volunteered to collect money for the local society on the day and were stationed at the Heidelberg Road and Airport Drive intersection in Dalpark.

The councillors started fundraising on the SPCA’s behalf at the beginning of August. Funds raised will go towards helping society acquire a new vehicle.
