Group helps communities with food

The Sri Sathya Sai group handed out grocery parcels, vegetable packs and clothes.

The Sri Sathya Sai Global Organisation held a charity drive on May 6 to give groceries to families and individuals in need in nine areas.

Dalpark was one of the areas served by the Seva Wing, the charity wing, with 20 families in need receiving grocery hampers, vegetable packets, hot meals and clothes.

The organisation handed out 500 grocery hampers, 500 vegetable packs, 2 000 hot meals and clothing for all the families at Villa Liza in Boksburg, Windmill Park Church shelter in Boksburg, Reiger Park in Boksburg, Actonville, Wattville, several Benoni old age homes, Dalpark, Kempton Park orphanages, several locations in Springs, Mould Empower Serve (MES) men and MES families, and the Bekikayo Underprivileged School in Babsfontein.
