Man gets 10 years for tampering with infrastructure

The accused was found guilty on August 31.

Simpiwe Qhasha (29) was sentenced to 10 years in prison on August 31 in the Brakpan Regional Court for tampering with essential infrastructure.

Qhasha, who was arrested on December 6 last year, pleaded not guilty but was found guilty and deemed unfit to possess a firearm. He dug out and cut three copper cables.
