Pensioners invited to join in the fun at biker church
Meet new people and enjoy different activities every week.
Adullam Biker Ecclesia East Rand Church for Bikers in Brakpan holds social mornings for pensioners once a week.
Pastor Brett McDermid has offered the church hall for the get-togethers and pensioners from all over Brakpan are invited to join.
“We get together at the church every Thursday from 08:30 to 11:00 and arrange a different activity for every week,” said organiser Ursula Edwards.
“These include mosaic, decoupage, Christmas cracker making, Christmas cookie decorating, bingo and many more planned going forward.
“We have already received awesome donations of nail care goodies as we also offer nail treatments, as well as mini pedicures for the elderly.

“We have a fully qualified nursing sister who checks their blood pressure too.”
Edwards has appealed for donations towards the purchase of items required for the different activities and craft classes.
“This can include craft paints, wood glue, mosaic tiles, different serviettes, artist paint brushes or wood items for crafting,” she said.
