Muriel Brand School boasts 100% pass rate again
Class of 2023 achieves flying colours.
The 2023 matric class of Muriel Brand School has continued the school’s excellent track record and obtained a 100% pass rate.
This is the fourth consecutive year the school has boasted 100% and the 23rd time in 24 years.
The school’s 2023 top achiever was Mmeli Khumalo who obtained distinctions in tourism and business studies.
She was followed by Samuel Senona who bagged a distinction in tourism. Sixty-five percent of the school’s matriculants achieved bachelor passes.
During an event to award top-achieving 2023 matriculants held by the Gauteng Department of Education in Johannesburg on Friday, Muriel Brand School received an award for the third best LSEN (Learners with Special Education Needs) School in Gauteng.
Khumalo also scooped the award for third best LSEN learner in the province.
The school is exceptionally proud of all the learners and described the success as a group effort.
