Rohan du Buson, the owner and head chef for Fig on the Rock in Dalview, received a Rosetta award from the Restaurant Association of South Africa (RASA) on January 25.
The awards ceremony was held at The Venue on Leslie in Fourways, where various types of restaurants were awarded for quality food, service and other categories.
Fig on the Rock was awarded for being in the top 100 restaurants in the country, and in the top six in the category of coffee shops, delis and bakeries.
“This is a really big achievement for our coffee shop and especially for Brakpan. It shows that there are great gems in this town,” Rohan said
