Pre-schoolers spoiled for a day

The invited children were from Motheo Pre-primary School in Daveyton and Kwa-Thema Crèche.

Businessman Mageba Ndaba hosted a fun day for more than three hundred children in Withok Estates on Wednesday.

“This is our way of showing appreciation to the communities in which we operate. I wanted the children and staff to enjoy themselves outside of their usual school days,” explained Ndaba, popularly known as Magesh.

The event was organised by Ndabezitha Charter Coaches in partnership with Magesh.

The invited children were from Motheo Pre-primary School in Daveyton and Kwa-Thema Crèche.

The two ECDs were chosen after submitting proposals to Ndaba. Kwa-Thema Creche is one of the oldest in the area and has one of the largest numbers of children.

The day’s entertainment included jumping castles and soft play obstacle courses.

“We added spinning because it is something new, something that the children do not see every day,” added Magesh.

During the spinning session, the little ones got to meet Nalo Dankie Darling, a woman in a male-dominated industry.

“I think there is a perception that spinning is linked to gangsterism, but it isn’t.

“This is about families and team work.

“The children are also fascinated by the cars and what the cars are capable of doing,” explained Darling.

She emphasised that she would not be successful without her team.

“I don’t even know how to change a tyre,” she laughed.

The children went wild every time the rubber-burning action started.
