Two security guards on duty at a Vulcania transport company were tied up during a robbery last Friday morning.
According to Brakpan SAPS, four men, one of whom was armed with a gun, gained access to the Lemmer Road property at around 02:15.
They confronted one of the guards as he was patrolling the premises. He was instructed to take the robbers to his colleague in the control room.
The two guards were then bound with rope and left in the room. The robbers took two truck tyres and fled.
It was later discovered they had gained access to the premises by cutting a padlock on the front gate.
A case of business robbery is under investigation.
