Soul Outreach needs blankets for the cold nights ahead

The shelter has 30 beds that fill up quickly in winter.

Soul Outreach and Upliftment Centre in Dalview has made an urgent request for blankets for the shelter.

“Soul Outreach overnight shelter currently has 30 beds and during the winter we get full with people seeking a place to get out of the cold,” said Martina Stickling from the centre.

Soul Outreach provides shelter and food to the homeless and destitute for a minimal fee. A night’s stay and shower comes with a fresh set of clothes, basic toiletries, and a warm bed.

The shelter does need donations of blankets to ensure the beds are warm enough.

Among the services provided by the shelter are CV and job application assistance. There is also transportation for children to and from a créche the centre.

Interested parties may contact Stickling on 081 745 7182 to arrange donations or to find out more about the centre.
