Residents take action against overgrown grass on roadside

The area is no longer an eyesore.

Residents of Huntingdon in Brakpan North recently took it upon themselves to tackle the overgrown roadside along Craven Street, near the entrance and exit to the inner suburb.

The clean-up was arranged by Clif Jacobs and Shaun Klinkenberg.

The road was overrun with long grass, which, according to Jacobs, was 1m or taller in some places.

Jacobs told the Brakpan Herald the clean-up was also made possible by donations.

After: The long grass was cut and cleanliness restored.
