Brakpan police searching for suspects in Plastic City fatal stabbing

An unidentified group of suspects is on the run after a man was fatally stabbed in the Plastic City informal settlement. Police are appealing to the public for any information.

Following a deadly stabbing in the Plastic City informal settlement, Brakpan police are calling on the community to help trace the perpetrators.

According to Constable Audrey Buthelezi, Brakpan SAPS Sector 1 manager and communications officer, the stabbing took place on June 8 at around 15:00.

“The victim was stabbed multiple times by unknown suspects who fled the scene. The wounded victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he died the following day.

“Although the deceased victim has been identified, the suspects are still at large and unknown. The murder weapon is also unknown.

“A case of murder has been registered at the Brakpan Police Station, and investigations are ongoing,” she said.

Brakpan police are appealing to the members of the public to come forward with any information and to provide any form of description of the wanted murder suspects.
