Leachville Shooters FC journey in mini play-offs continues
The team participated in a home and away match and came out on top.
Leachville Shooters FC kicked off the mini play-offs season with two convincing wins against Elco Santos FC, crowning them champions of the Brakpan Local Football Association (BLFA) and securing their place in the regional play-offs.
The regional tournament began on August 2 at Old Bens in Benoni, where Leachville started their campaign with a solid 1-0 victory over Ace Auto Ayoba FC.
On August 3, they returned to the field for a thrilling match against Mojo City FC, winning 3-2. Later that day, they were awarded a walkover victory against Boyne Football Club, securing first place in their group.
“With these impressive results, Leachville Shooters FC have advanced to the quarter-finals, which will take place on August 9.
“We are incredibly proud of their achievements so far and wish them continued success as they carry the hopes of Brakpan into the next stage of the competition,” said BLFA chairperson Maria Makola.
