Rain fails to deter festive spirit at night market

The night market may have moved to Emperors Palace to dodge bad weather, but visitors enjoyed a warm, vibrant evening of food, fun, and festive community spirit.

Hundreds of families, food and fun lovers descended on Emperors Palace on November 7 to relax and unwind at the Benoni Night Market, which had been moved from its normal venue in Benoni to the Palace of Dreams’ Convention Centre undercover parking because of the forecasted inclement weather.

As predicted, it did rain, but everyone could keep dry and enjoy an extensive fusion of craft stalls, live entertainment, craft beer, cocktails, wines and a kid’s corner.

The event attracted a strong turnout of Brakpan residents.
