Snack Pack daily devotional book released by Brakpan pastor

The book is a compilation of daily devotional messages written by Pastor Eddie Botes.

Pastor Eddie Botes, from the Christian Family Church Brakpan, recently released his daily devotional book, Snack Pack.

“In the busyness of life, we all need a moment to pause and refresh our spirits. Snack Pack offers short, meaningful reflections that anyone can read anytime, anywhere. It’s a perfect way to stay spiritually grounded each day,” said Eddie.

In October 2013, Eddie’s life was forever changed when he was radically saved by the Lord.

A devoted husband, loving father, loyal son and brother, dedicated boxing coach for Brakpan Boxing Club, and Warrant Officer at Brakpan SAPS by profession, Eddie wears many hats.

“Above all, I’m a servant of God with a passion to share His word in simple, relatable ways,” he said.

Not long after his salvation, Eddie began studying the Bible and searching for daily devotionals.

“Many felt too long for busy days, so in 2014 the Lord placed a new idea in my heart: to write one-minute devotionals that anyone could read anywhere, anytime,” he said.

He began writing in 2016, sharing the short messages across social media platforms, with support from pastor Cilla Le Roux, who for the last few years helped refine the messages.

In 2025, this vision came together in his first devotional book, Snack Pack, a collection of bite-sized spiritual reflections, which, he said, are designed to refresh your faith and feed your soul.
