Die Just Wheels Motorklub se opedag vind plaas. Daar sal ook ’n vlooimark, kindervermaak en musiek wees. Besoekers sal ook die geleentheid hê om bloed te skenk en dierekos ten bate van die Brakpan DBV saam te neem. Die klubhuis is geleë by Kitzingerlaan 169 en die hekke open om 09:00. Die toegang is gratis.

The Brakpan-based LBHAC publishing company is hosting a business breakfast on this day at the Zoe Christian bookshop, coffee shop and roastery in Boksburg at 10:00. There are 20 spots available, and business owners are advised to RSVP by the Friday, January 30. Interested parties may contact LBHAC owner Leigh-Anne Hill on 071 481 7120.

Hoërskool Die Anker bied hul jaarlikse gholfdag by die die State Mines Country Klub aan, om fondse in te samel vir die skool se eerst rugby- en netbal spanne. Die Laerskool Brakpan-Oos bied ‘n golfdag aan by die State Mines Country Klub. Die registrasie begin om 9:30. Vir meer inligting, of om ‘n hoofborg, putjie of “putting green” te borg, kontak Michelle Benade by 082 960 1100.
Genenal
• The Golden Oldies Social Club meets every Thursday from 08:30 to 11:30 at 134 Gardiner Street. Open to anyone over 55 with spare time. The club does various crafts, plays board games and is planning a breakfast outing this year. For more information, contact Ursula Edwards on 082 491 6217.
• Die NG Kerk Brakpan-Oos, op die hoek van Boundaryweg en Lappingstraat, hou elke Vrydagaand vanaf 18:30 ‘n buitelug praise and worship. Belangstellendes kan komberse of tuinstoele bring om op te sit. Kontak Anton Pretorius by 084 499 5462 vir meer inligting.
• Brakpan parkrun is open every Saturday at 07:50 at the Brakpan Sports Centre (opposite the library). Runners, walkers and volunteers are welcome. It is free; bring your running tag/barcode. You run, walk or jog at your own pace.
