Public urged to support Clean Brakpan’s ‘blikkie skud’ this Sunday

Clean Brakpan appeals for donations as operational costs reach R7 000 per week.

Clean Brakpan’s funds are currently depleted, temporarily halting clean-up operations in the town.

The organisation is appealing to the public for donations to sustain its work in maintaining a cleaner Brakpan, and will be holding a “blikkie skud” from 10:00 at the Mall@Carnival intersection on Sunday (February 15).

The team has recently completed clean-up efforts along Prince George Avenue using the limited funds available.

Without additional donations, however, further work cannot continue. According to Clean Brakpan, it costs R7 000 per week to operate its team.

These expenses include wages, petrol, and repairs to equipment and machinery. Residents are encouraged to contribute to the fundraiser to ensure that clean-up operations continue.
