Spend the morning giving back at Brakpan SPCA’s inaugural social event

Residents are invited to the Brakpan SPCA for a morning of walking, grooming and spending time with animals, along with an Easter egg hunt for children.

The Brakpan SPCA will host its first-ever Social on April 18, and invites animal lovers to engage in a day of connection, care and fun. Moving away from the traditional “Adoption Day,” this inaugural event encourages visitors to spend quality time with the animals in the society’s care.

Participants can help walk dogs, groom and brush animals, play with and feed cats and dogs, or simply offer companionship and attention.

There will also be a special Easter egg hunt for the little ones.

Businesses and social groups are encouraged to join, making this an opportunity for team-building while supporting a good cause.

While entry is free, visitors are encouraged to bring food or treats for the animals.

The event, which will run from 09:00 to 14:00, aims to not only find volunteers and potential new homes for the animals, but to also give the animals the attention and affection they need most.

The Brakpan SPCA is situated at 96 Denne Road in Witpoort.
