Weekend crime round-up
An overview of crimes reported to local SAPS from September 29 to October 1.
The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past weekend:
Friday – A vehicle parked at the corner of Prince George and Kitzinger avenues was stripped of its headlights.
• A maroon Ford Ranger was stolen from Escombe Avenue.
Saturday – A TV, a sound bar and a subwoofer were stolen during a burglary at a home in Dabchick Street, Dalpark.
• A break-in was reported at a motorcycle dealership in the CBD.
The burglars gained access to the premises through the ceiling and then forced open a door. Sixteen bikes were stolen.
Sunday – A scooter was stolen from an address along Hoy Avenue.
