Parts of Brakpan to be without power
Vulcania Ext 2 and Geluksdal to be affected.
The City of Ekurhuleni’s technicians will perform emergency works on the substations supplying power to Vulcania Ext Two near Brakpan and at the substation supplying Geluksdal to prevent further damage to the existing electrical equipment.
• Geluksdal: The planned power outage is scheduled to take place on September 9 from 08:00 to 18:00.
Affected areas include the whole of Geluksdal and portions of Labore industrial area.
• Vulcania Ext Two: The planned power outage is scheduled to take place on September 11 from 08:00 to 18:00.
Affected areas include the whole of Vulcania Ext Two. Residents are urged to treat all electrical networks as live at all times, while maintenance work is ongoing.
