Be vigilant of roaming cattle on the roads
Motorists urged to be cautious when encountering livestock on the roads.

The EMPD has urged motorists to be vigilant when they see livestock such as cows, sheep, and goats on the roads.
According to EMPD media liaison officer Lerato Monyane, such animals are not allowed in residential areas.
“Anyone who knows of a place that is strictly zoned for residential purposes should immediately report it if they see animals there,” said Monyane.
“When driving toward livestock, motorists should leave a safe following distance and give the right of way to the animals to pass. Some roads have signs indicating that animals are crossing, so be vigilant about those road signs.
“When coming across such animals and you feel you are in danger, or there might be others who will pass and also be in danger, do not hesitate to call the EMPD.”
