Village of Hope visited the Sallies Hostel community on September 11 to celebrate the birthday of Pick n Pay Mall@Carnival manager Nonhlanhla Zwane alongside NPO beneficiaries and local residents.

“The Sallies Hostel community beautifully decorated the venue for the celebration, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere for everyone,” said Village of Hope founder Tumie Masolane.

“Instead of simply celebrating her birthday, Nonhlanhla chose to give back to the community on her special day.

“Her actions demonstrated the meaning of true leadership – that being a leader means serving others.

“We are deeply grateful that, among the many beneficiaries supported by Pick n Pay Mall@Carnival, Village of Hope was chosen to share in this special occasion.

“It was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate not only a birthday, but also the spirit of giving and community service.”

The entire Sallies Hostel community received a plate of food, cake and juice.

“Everyone was able to eat, enjoy the celebration and leave feeling full and appreciated,” added Tumie.

“The community expressed their sincere gratitude and happiness that their food sponsor, Nonhlanhla, chose to celebrate her birthday with them. Her generosity made the day especially meaningful for the community.”
