Anna Mhlanga (55), who recently held her cookery school in the Bosch demonstration kitchen in Hirsch’s Carnival store, lives in Randburg with her husband Jimmy (69).
She started a small business selling her cakes after she met Margaret Hirsch, CEO of the Hirsch’s group, and received much-needed guidance.
Mhlanga knew she didn’t want to stop there and wanted to share her love of baking with other people and empower people with skills. She started her cookery school, which is a six week course hosted in different Hirsch’s stores, where attendees receive a certificate after completing the course.
