Brakpan hosts Tiny Titans
Young kickboxers from all over the country take part in a Brakpan tournament.

The Brakpan Indoor Sports Centre was a hive of kickboxing action when shihan Raymond ‘The Whip’ Phillips’s Xtreme Kickboxing Technologies (XKT) hosted the Clash of the Tiny Titans kickboxing tournament, on Saturday, September 20.
According to Phillips, over 150 young fighters (15 years old and younger), from as far afield as Middleburg, Hartbeespoort and Vogville, gathered at the centre for one of the largest junior kickboxing tournaments on the continent.
Kickboxers competed in various styles and semi and light contact fights.
Phillips said he was pleased with the turn-out at the tournament.
“By the looks of the numbers we had at the tournament it is clear that there is definitely growth in the junior department of the sport,” he said.
“The tournament itself went off extremely well and we had no injury scares, besides one bloodied nose.”
The president of XKT said that the aim for future events is to make them bigger and better and to attract more and more junior kickboxers to the sport.
