Woest to fly the flag again
Brakpan resident Karen Woest (16) will again have the opportunity to wear the green and gold.
The learner at Hoërskool Hugenote in Springs has again been selected to represent the country as a member of the South African u-22 Women’s Action Cricket side that will compete against teams from New Zealand, Australia and England at the Indoor Cricket World Cup in Dubai in September, next year.
She captained the u-18 South African girls’ action cricket team at the Indoor Junior World Series in Brisbane, Australia, last year.
This time she is planning on improving her performance and is focused on again earning a spot in the All Star team after the tournament.
Woest is also currently representing the Easterns u-19 girls’ team in a national tournament from December 9 to December 15 in Pretoria.
