‘Panne’ to get good league action in

The ‘Panne’, East Rand United and Springs have decided to play in both the Super League and the Valke’s elite club competition, the Peregrine League.

Brakpan Rugby Club’s first XV will get more game time this season against some high-quality opposition as one of three Valke Rugby Union clubs that will play in the Blue Bulls Rugby Union’s Super Club League initiative.

Overall the club will play a total of 22 matches in the two leagues, 10 in the Super League and 12 in the Peregrine League.

There will be no shortage of excellent competition in the new league initiative.

Pretoria clubs ‘Tukkies’, QBR, Centurion and Naka Bulle will provide a true challenge along with the strong Impala club from the North West.

The Super League is scheduled to kick-off on February 24 while the Peregrine League is expected to kick-off in early April.
