Another league defeat for battling Brakpan
Again, the ‘Panne’ outfit was unsuccessful on the field of play.
After their mammoth 64-13 Valke Peregrine League defeat to the old enemy Springs the weekend prior, Brakpan Rugby Club’s first XV were hoping to turn things around when they travelled Vaal-side for a match-up with Vereeniging on May 5.
Again, the ‘Panne’ outfit was unsuccessful on the field of play, going down 45-24, their second defeat of the Peregrine League in three matches.

It was the same story for the club’s second and u-21 sides in Vereeniging.
The second team were on the wrong side of a 34-22 result while the u-21s were demolished 55-5 to mark a tough day for the men from Bosman Stadium.
Their task doesn’t get any easier when they welcome the Naka Bulle from Pretoria to Brakpan in a Super League fixture at Bosman Stadium on May 12.
