Head to the Rock for oval racing excitement

Open wheelers will include the Ninja karts (for ages six to 12), 125 karts and the return of crowd favourites, the V8 sprint cars.

Petrol heads are in for another motorsport treat when high-octane oval racing takes place again at the Rock Raceway on October 13.

All the favourite oval drivers will hotfoot around the 400m circuit in various disciplines as they start to wrap up the season’s championships with the semi-final round.

A host of oval saloons classes will also be racing, including the 1600 stock rods, 1660 modified saloons, two-litre hot rods and super saloons.

High-speed action from the Formula N circuit cars will keep spectators on the edge of their seats as the saloon car drivers jostle for positions around the tricky race circuit.

With plenty of chicanes and tight corners overtaking can be hair-raising, but entertaining for the crowds nonetheless.

Gates open at 10am and racing starts at 4pm.
