City of Ekurhuleni Athletics Club runners go the distance at Biogen 21K

The club had a strong showing at the 2026 Biogen 21K, with Kamogelo Phogole finishing in 1:26:01, and 26 teammates crossing the line behind him.

Runners from the City of Ekurhuleni Athletics Club were among over 7 000 participants who tackled the 2026 Biogen 21K.

The Premier Half Marathon, presented by Momentum Multiply, and the SmectaGo 5km Fun Run with Dis-Chem and Biogen took place on January 11, with the 21km and 5km distances routed though Bedfordview and Primrose.

Twenty-seven of the club’s athletes conquered the 21km route with the following times:
