Playing with fire

Will crash a burning car through a pyramid of burning car wrecks.

Carnival City will host a day of motorcycling, stunts and varied entertainment on Saturday, December 10.

The event, to start in the venue’s parking lot at 2pm, will include a static display of new and currently owned Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

Gold Rand Harley will invite motorcyclists to test ride five of their latest Harley-Davidsons – all you need is to turn up with your licence and crash helmet.

Various Harley-Davidson clubs have been invited to display their machines in the lot, with a competition to find the most beautiful, most soulful and cleanest Harley to be held in the afternoon.

A number of singers will perform during the afternoon, while food and drink will be on sale from a variety of stalls.

After dusk, South Africa’s two oldest stuntmen will play with fire.

First, 60-year-old Enrico Schoeman will be set alight, after which he will ride a motorcycle through a fire tunnel.

Then, 62-year-old Andrè de Kock will crash a burning car through a pyramid of burning car wrecks.

De Kock and Schoeman are the current holders of the Guinness World Record for riding a motorcycle through a tunnel of fire.

They set the record of 120m at the Rhino Motorcycle Rally, in Parys, in 2014.
