Charlize Berg set to shine at Carnival City’s Afrikaans Karnaval

Charlize Berg will be performing various hits from her album such as 'Braaf','Asof Liefde Nie Seermaak Nie', 'Ontbreek', 'Hartseer Hart' and 'As Jy Weet Dis Liefde', which is the title track of her new album.

Carnival City will host an ensemble of SA’s best Afrikaans artists at its new Afrikaans Karnaval to be held at the Big Top Arena on Saturday, March 25.

Amongst the artists set to shine at the Afrikaans musical showcase is Charlize Berg.

Berg, who boasts a Rapport/Vonk award for South Africa’s Brightest Musical Discovery as well as Sama, Ghoema and Huisgenoot Tempo nominations, has just released her brand new album ‘As Jy Weet Dis Liefde’.

Collaborating with well-known songwriters such as Vaughn Gardiner and Joe Foster to name but a few, Berg’s new album has been described as fresh, with an international sound.

Berg will be performing various hits from her album such as ‘Braaf’,’Asof Liefde Nie Seermaak Nie’, ‘Ontbreek’, ‘Hartseer Hart’ and ‘As Jy Weet Dis Liefde’, which is the title track of her new album.

Berg’s songs ‘Sink Ons Saam?’, ‘Kry My In Die Middel’ and ‘Breek’ have been compared to the international sounds of songs by Taylor Swift and Ellie Goulding.

The diversity of what she offers fans is incredible – from sing-along songs to dance hits and ballads, fans can prepare for an exciting, fun-filled night out as she performs with the rest of SA’s best Afrikaans talent in this spectacular jamboree of entertainment.
