Crime warden shot at home

Luckily, the warden managed to get to hospital

An intruder shot and wounded a crime prevention warden at his home on Sunday, 12 May.

The warden (46) was off-duty and relaxing with friends in his garage in the 60s at Khutsong Extension 5.

He noticed unknown men outside and went to investigate. He did not get far before one of them shot him in the stomach.

The thugs then ran away.

The warden managed to drive himself to Carletonville Hospital for help. He was in a stable condition at printing time.
