House robbers shoot brother in leg

They only fled with electronics, the value of which is not comparable to a human life.

House robbers in our area are getting more violent.

Another such crime took place on Friday 7 June.

A resident (37) of Pigeon Street at East Driefontein had just stopped at home with Toyota Quantum minibus at about 19:45 when two unknown men suddenly stormed toward him.

The thugs pulled out firearms and demanded money.

“I don’t have money, the man told them.”

The robbers then fired two shots into the air and one of them stormed into the house. He returned with the resident’s brother (46).

The thug shot the brother in his left knee before they grabbed the Samsung laptop that he had with him. They also grabbed a Samsung J7 cellphone and ran away.

The brother was rushed to hospital.

The police in Carletonville are investigating house robbery and attempted murder cases.
