‘Christmas Under the Stars’ at Carletonville Civic Centre Park tonight

The gathering will include fundraising for an initiative to restore and improve the park for safer family use.

Residents of Carletonville will be able to gather for a special Christmas worship event in the park at the Carletonville Civic Centre tonight (Tuesday December 9).

This year’s gathering, called Christmas Under the Stars, will start at 18:00 and continue until 20:30. Those who want to take part must take their own camping chairs and lights.

According to the organiser, Shaleen Smith, there will also be fundraising for an action to clean up the park.

“We want to see how we, as the community, can make the park safe again and fix it up to how it was before,” says Smith.

She added that this action is the first of a new plan by residents to get together and start cleaning up Carletonville, similar to the Our Town Fochville action.

Anyone who wants more information about the Christmas event or this action can contact Smith on 082 310 6621.
