Armed robbers target Oberholzer scrap metal business

Three gunmen flee with cash and employees' cellphones after afternoon robbery at Cash 4 Scrap.

A scrap metal business in Oberholzer fell victim to an armed robbery during the afternoon of June 25.

An employee (24) and her colleagues were carrying out routine tasks at Cash 4 Scrap on Botha Street when three unknown men stormed into the premises at 14:30.

The suspects pulled out firearms and demanded cash and cellphones from the staff.

With no other choice, the employees handed over their phones to the armed men.

The robbers then grabbed all the money in the shop before running out of the building.

The suspects managed to escape the scene in a white VW Polo.
