Five Christmas babies born in Merafong area
Five babies were born on Christmas Day in the Merafong area, with four deliveries at Carletonville Hospital and one at Khutsong Main Clinic, according to the Gauteng Department of Health.
The Gauteng Department of Health released the final statistics on the number of babies born on Christmas earlier today.
According to the department four little ones, two boys and two girls, were born in Carletonville Hospital.
A little girl was also born in the Khutsong Main Clinic.
A total of 302 Christmas babies were born throughout Gauteng.
