Merafong schools shine as 2025 matrics deliver outstanding pass rates
Aster Academy once again set the benchmark for private education in Carletonville with a perfect 100% matric pass rate.
Schools across Merafong can be very proud of the achievements of their 2025 matrics.
According to the matric results released by the Department of Education, Carleton Jones High School has a pass rate of 97.7%. Hoërskool Fochville is the second best government school with a pass rate of 97.4%.
Imfundo Secondary School in Kokosi came third with a pass rate of 96%.
Merafong’s only private school with matrics, Aster Academy, again held Carletonville’s name high as their matrics again obtained a 100% pass rate.
