Human skeleton discovered along R501 near Carletonville

Pedestrians walking along the R501 road just outside Carletonville made a disturbing discovery last week after finding a human skeleton in the grass near the entrance to Blyvooruitzicht.

Pedestrians made a gruesome discovery just outside Carletonville last week.

People walking on the side of the R501 road on January 7 saw something strange in the grass on the side of the road just after the entrance to Blyvooruitzicht.

They looked closer and realised, to their horror, that it was a human skeleton. They immediately contacted the police, who have since opened an inquest case.

It is still not sure how the skeleton, which is believed to be that of a man, ended up at the site.
