House robbers strike near Westfields Primary School in Carletonville

A 26-year-old woman was traumatised after armed robbers broke into her Flint Street home near Westfields Primary School in the early hours of January 3.

The 26-year-old owner was asleep in her room at approximately 03:00 when she was woken by the loud noise of criminals breaking open the glass door. The thugs, two men speaking Setswana and IsiXhosa, stormed into the house.

The criminals, who wielded knives, told her not to make a noise.

They then ransacked the house and stole cellphones, money, and electrical equipment.

They then ran away.

The police in Carletonville are investigating a house robbery case.
