Armed hijackers force R501 motorist off the road near East Driefontein

Gunmen abduct Nissan NP200 driver and dump him near Randfontein before fleeing with his vehicle

Hijackers again struck on the R501 this week.

A resident was driving his Nissan NP200 bakkie on the R501 on June 18.

As he neared the turn-off to East Driefontein at 19:35, a white Hyundai forced him off the road.

Two men jumped from the Hyundai and pointed firearms at the driver.

They forced the victim back into his own bakkie and jumped in on both sides of him.

They drove off and dropped him off at smallholdings near Randfontein.
